Holland to ask state commission to prefer 'blue' route for proposed transmission project

Chair Huenink said the letter will describe potential impacts to the Town of Holland if the yellow (east) route is selected and will recommend that the commission select the blue (west) route instead. No formal motion to send the letter was recorded; Chair Huenink said he had begun drafting the letter for submission to the commission.
Board members discussed the matter as an ongoing issue; the board did not take a final vote on the transmission route at this meeting. The item remains an open issue for the town to refine before submitting comments to the state commission.
