Blair Township tables multiple Reservoir Road subdivision plans for sanitary-sewer project

Blair Township supervisors on Aug. 13 tabled two preliminary/final subdivision plans submitted by Keller Engineers for the township’s sanitary sewer expansion along Reservoir Road. The plans would create lots to accommodate pump stations for the project, but township engineering review found multiple missing waivers and outstanding items.
Eric Banks of Stiffler McGraw told the board that waiver requests for plan scale, road frontage, minimum lot size, building setback lines and utility/drainage easements had not been submitted for either the Robertson/Weber or Kern plans. Stiffler McGraw’s July 9, 2024 review letter also lists several other outstanding review items for Kern; the Blair County Planning Commission had not yet submitted its review for Robertson/Weber at the time of the meeting.
Supervisor Lou Lusk moved to table both subdivision plans pending the submission of the requested waivers and resolution of outstanding review comments; Chairman Paul Amigh seconded the motions and both passed unanimously. Tabling preserves the township’s review rights while Keller Engineers and the applicant address engineering and county-review requirements.
Why it matters: The pump stations are part of a larger sanitary-sewer expansion that affects infrastructure and potential construction impacts on Reservoir Road. Missing waivers and technical items must be resolved before the township can act on final subdivision approval.
Next steps: The applicants must submit required waiver requests and revised materials and await Blair County planning comments before the board will take further action.
