Township investigates Brooks Mills home that secured occupancy without required stormwater plan

Meeting minutes report that letters were sent to the developer and the homeowner, and that it was determined the developer had submitted plans indicating substantially less earth disturbance than actually occurred during construction. The minutes note the PMCA was in transition while the home was built, which contributed to the reporting gap.
Engineer Eric Banks told the board there are mitigation options, including installing an underground rock sump or an above-ground catch basin; both options would require engineered designs. Chairman Paul Amigh said the family living in the home will not be required to vacate and that the township will work with them and invite the homeowners to a supervisors' meeting to ask questions.
No formal enforcement action (eviction or immediate vacate order) was recorded at the Jan. 6 meeting. The board indicated next steps would include pursuing engineered mitigation and further communications with the developer and homeowners, including sending a registered letter if there is no response to prior notices.
