Harvest Glen stormwater addendum approved to expand holding pond, eliminate rain gardens

Greg Geishauson of Stiffler McGraw presented an addendum to the Harvest Glen Subdivision stormwater-management plan on Oct. 8 that would eliminate rain-garden drainage beds behind existing properties and expand an existing holding pond.
Ben Piper of Keller Engineers, representing the township in this matter, said he had reviewed the addendum and had no concerns; he reported that comments submitted Oct. 1 had been adequately addressed. Supervisor Brad Germaux moved to approve the Harvest Glen Stormwater Management Plan Addendum; Supervisor Lou Lusk seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The addendum changes the original rain-garden-style drainage concept behind homes to an expanded holding pond; the engineer stated the pond expansion would improve the drainage rate compared with the original design.
