Nitzel also presented the monthly provider and vendor certifications totaling $907,975.18, noting a $96,000 decrease from February largely due to the LEAP program final payment of about $91,000 and a year‑over‑year increase of approximately $26,000 driven mostly by food‑stamp payments. The board approved that certification 2‑0.
Jacque Frenier, Morgan County Department of Human Services director, said May is Foster Care Appreciation Month and announced a local recognition event on May 30 from 3–4 p.m. She noted two foster parents, Leslie McGrory and Bob Davidson, recently retired from foster care.
