The Town of Ironton board met Aug. 11 in Ironton. Chair Jerry White called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the board approved the agenda, the July 2025 minutes, and the financial report (each motion recorded as passed 3-0).
Under Patrolmen’s input, patrolmen reported maintenance priorities: Petit Road has geo grading down in spots and will need a 3–5-inch lift; multiple trees fell across roads during recent heavy rain and wind events; and crews are conducting a second mowing of the season.
In Old Business, Bill Kinsman reported that he had spoken with Planning and Zoning and that the town’s salt-shed project will not require DNR or engineer approval, clarifying previous permitting questions. The town website at https://www.townofironton.com/ was discussed; Dorothy Harms and Clerk Diane Reinfeldt will meet to learn the administrator side of the site.
Dorothy Harms and Nick Fry met with Jamie Georgeson to review patrolmen insurance options; Jamie Georgeson is expected to present insurance choices at the September board meeting.
Correspondence included a Meyer Oil request for 2,000 gallons of LP and receipt of a Copus claim check. The board moved to pay bills (motion by Jerry White, 2nd by Bill Kinsman) and the motion passed 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.; minutes were submitted by Clerk Diane Reinfeldt.
