Board unanimously approves multiple liquor licenses; routine minutes and procedural motions pass

On June 9 the Board of Aldermen approved a package of liquor licenses and carried routine procedural motions without dissent.
A motion by Alderman Beth Parker, seconded by Alderman Jacob Riley, approved the following: St. Michael's liquor license for soccer tournament dates August 10–16 and August 17–22, Walmart Store No. 3061, Dierberg's Mackenzie Pointe, MyPlace, BHP Bowling d/b/a Shrewsbury Lanes, and American Legion Post 111. The motion passed with all in favor.
The board also approved the Board of Aldermen work session minutes from May 26, 2026 on a motion by Alderman Greg Lauter, seconded by Alderperson Bette Welch. Later in the meeting Alderperson Welch moved and Alderman Beth Parker seconded a motion to go into closed session; that motion passed unanimously. Welch subsequently moved to adjourn and Alderman Ben Stark seconded; the motion carried by voice vote.
No ordinances were introduced or adopted at the June 9 meeting. The next board meeting is June 23, 2026.
