A committee member raised repeated questions about how the county tracks vending-machine revenue and the line labeled "vending profit," asking why a profit account appeared as an expense line in the county financial system. The member asked staff to review Munis entries and clarify carryover practices between fiscal years. Another attendee noted that last year’s vending profit was approximately $11,241 and requested follow-up to reconcile the ledger entries. "Can we get some clarification on that?" the committee member asked during the discussion.
The board approved a utility permit for Frontier Communications to place aerial fiber along Baseline Road in Plymouth after a motion and roll-call votes. Commissioners also approved a $4,850 quote from Lehi Hall Concrete for work at the Juvenile facility and a $5,640 quote from Purdy Construction for basin work at Peoples. A lease agreement with Soil and Water was approved as unchanged in amount and length.
Members discussed rock-salt procurement and noted that a statewide bid cycle left 11 counties without bids and raised the county’s expected price by about $20 per ton; the board authorized advertising for salt procurement to move forward. The quarterly overtime resolution for wastewater employees was approved as presented.
