Ironton board reviews county mitigation packet, website updates and clerk equipment; approves bills

The Town of Ironton board on Sept. 8 received several administrative updates: a Sauk County hazard mitigation packet for review, an update on a proposed new salt shed and repairs to the existing structure, a website and .gov email update for the clerk, and a clerk laptop quote. The board also approved payment of bills.
Diane Reinfeldt, the town clerk, said Sauk County provided a jump drive containing approximately 600 pages of the county hazard mitigation plan for board members to review; she will copy drives and distribute them to members ahead of the next meeting. Bill Kinsman and Jerry White reported they met with Brian Schultz of Brenneman Builders to discuss a new salt shed and identified repairs needed on the current building.
Josh Meyers of JJ Meyers Development assisted the town with setting up a .gov email address and advised the town about a $600 reimbursement grant; the clerk's new email address is posted on the town website. The clerk received a quote from Computer Connections for a laptop and will research cloud storage options.
Bills were approved for payment after a motion by Bill Kinsman and second by Jerry White; the motion passed 3-0. The board also recorded a list of items for future agendas, including the Pickel Road bridge, sand shed update, revaluation and budget preparation.
The minutes show no formal adoption of the county mitigation plan; the materials were distributed for individual review and future discussion.
