Commissioners approve Myers Amended Plat and rezoning of Brush property to commercial

The Morgan County Board of County Commissioners approved two land‑use actions on March 18, 2025: Resolution 2025 BCC 12, approving the Myers Amended Plat (an amended plat of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of the Holzworth Minor Subdivision), and Resolution 2025 BCC 13, rezoning a parcel at 29870 U.S. Highway 6 in Brush from Agricultural/Agri Business (A/B) to Commercial (C).
Planning and Zoning Administrator Nicole Hay told the Board the Myers application, submitted by Steven Myers on behalf of Steven, Terry and Randy Myers, was considered at a Jan. 28 public hearing and would reconfigure internal lot lines into Lots 1A, 2A and 3A without creating new lots; the Board found the reconfiguration complies with subdivision regulations and approved the amended plat 3‑0.
Hay also summarized the rezoning application submitted by NYH Solutions on behalf of The Hill Event Center, LLC. The Morgan County Planning Commission recommended approval 7‑0 after a Feb. 10 public hearing; commissioners said the rezoning to Commercial is consistent with the County Comprehensive Plan, compatible with surrounding zoning and would broaden local economic opportunities. The Board voted 3‑0 to approve Resolution 2025 BCC 13.
Both resolutions include findings of fact in the resolution text noting minimum lot size and setback compliance, shared access acknowledgments on Highway 34 (Myers) and a property description recorded with the Clerk and Recorder for the Brush parcel.
