The Louisa County Board of Supervisors used its April 8, 2025 session to confirm appointments and approve routine reports. The board appointed Leanne Black to the County Judicial Magistrate Commission for a term ending December 31, 2026 (motion: Hardin, second: Hunt). The board also adopted Resolution No. 202514 to appoint Sean Allworth to the Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission loan review committee for a three‑year term ending December 31, 2027; the resolution records ayes from Shawn Maine, Kevin Hardin and Scot Hunt and was attested by Auditor Susan Schnedler.
The board approved quarterly reports for the sheriff, recorder, and auditor’s offices (motion: Hunt, second: Hardin) and reviewed March 2025 ambulance reports for Morning Sun, Wapello and Columbus Junction. A payroll change for William Hake (Trucker/Mechanic) setting pay at $25.16 per hour effective April 4, 2025 was reviewed. The meeting concluded with adjournment at 9:10 a.m.
