Representatives for the utility project (Massachusetts Electric / National Grid) updated the commission on pole replacement and the addition of two distribution poles in flood-storage areas. The company said any change in flood storage volume would be negligible.
"There's only two new ones in there — it's minuscule," the utility representative said, characterizing the impact to flood storage as de minimis.
Commission staff confirmed receipt of revised pole-location plans and recommended a standard order of conditions; the commission also asked for a condition addressing removal and off-site disposal of soil associated with prior work in the Parkerville Road area. By roll call the commission moved to close the hearing and issue the order of conditions with those standard and project-specific conditions.
Commissioners and staff noted that utility contractors must adhere to the town’s erosion and sediment controls and that staff will follow up to ensure the final plan matches the posted revisions.
