Council approves rezoning of 683 N. Watertown Ave. to urban mixed-use
Summary
The Common Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 10-24 to rezone 683 N. Watertown Ave. (parcels 241-0614-0224-062 and 241-0614-0224-013) from SR-2 Single Family to UMU Urban Mixed-Use on Oct. 1, 2024.
The Jefferson Common Council voted unanimously Oct. 1 to adopt Ordinance No. 10-24, which changes the zoning designation for parcels identified as 241-0614-0224-062 and 241-0614-0224-013 (683 N. Watertown Ave.) from SR-2 Single Family to UMU Urban Mixed-Use.
Ald. Peg M. Beyer introduced the ordinance; Ald. Toby Tully Jr. seconded the motion to approve and the council carried it on a roll-call vote.
The ordinance includes parcel legal descriptions (LOT 3, CSM 998-3-492, DOC 743684 and LOT 1, CSM 6476, DOC 1484678) and a metes-and-bounds excerpt recorded in the ordinance text. The change is recorded as permanent and will take effect after passage, publication and updating the city zoning map.
No amendments or conditions to the rezoning were recorded in the council minutes.
