Polk City introduces new recreation coordinator, Alison Baggy

"My name is Alison Baggy," Baggy said, and she told commissioners she holds a Bachelor of Science in parks and recreation management from Northwest Missouri State. Baggy described earlier work in campus recreation at the University of Missouri and an internship in Polk City that brought her back to the community.
Baggy said her current responsibilities include serving as the point of contact for programs, expanding program offerings, and managing social media outreach to boost participation. She said she looks forward to developing new programs that reach a broader cross-section of residents, including children, adults and senior citizens.
The commission welcomed Baggy to the staff; no formal action was required.
