Town of Holland electors approve $803,695 tax levy payable in 2026

Town Chair David Huenink called a special meeting of Town electors to order at 6:28 p.m. on Nov. 5 at Holland Town Hall to adopt the final 2025 tax levy payable in 2026.
Clerk-Treasurer Janelle Kaiser certified that the Town met the requirements of the Wisconsin Open Meetings Law, saying the special-elector meeting notice had been posted in three locations in town and on the town website on Oct. 17, 2025, and printed in the Lakeshore Weekly and The Sounder. The agenda was posted at Holland Town Hall and on the town website.
Electors adopted the meeting agenda by unanimous voice vote. During the levy item, Craig Droppers moved and Jack Stokdyk seconded a motion "to adopt and approve the 2025 tax levy of $803,695 to be paid in 2026." The motion carried by show of hands, 12-0; the transcript records no comments or discussion from electors on the levy.
Brody Stapel moved to adjourn the special meeting and Clerk-Treasurer Janelle Kaiser seconded; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote and the meeting adjourned at 6:31 p.m.
The action completes the formal adoption of the Town of Holland's 2025 tax levy, payable in 2026. Notices and minutes of the special elector meeting are recorded by the clerk.
