Committee moves personnel policy review to next meeting; annual ethics code reviewed with no changes

Committee members agreed to carry forward review of the Village Personnel Policy and employee vacation schedule to the next meeting for further study; the Committee also reviewed Municipal Code Sec. 2-83 on ethical standards and had no questions.
At the prior Village Board meeting members requested a review of the Village Personnel Policy and employee vacation time schedule. Clerk/Treasurer Michelle Maroszek reported she is checking other municipalities’ vacation and time-off schedules and that all board members and department heads should review the policy for any suggested changes. By consensus the Committee agreed to move the personnel policy item to the next Committee of the Whole meeting for further consideration.
Separately, President Russ Gehm reminded the Committee that Municipal Code Sec. 2-83 (Ethical Standards and Regulations) is reviewed annually. The Committee reviewed the code section and raised no questions, and no revisions were proposed at the meeting.
