After returning from a closed executive session held to discuss personnel and possible litigation, the Candler County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 16 took two personnel actions.
The board voted unanimously to offer Rico Coney a full‑time assistant recreation director position at the Metter‑Candler Recreation Department at $20.15 per hour. The board also unanimously reappointed Marcus McCray as the county’s third member on the Heart of Georgia Regional Commission for a one‑year term.
Both actions were taken by roll call following the executive session; the board certified that the closed meeting was limited to permitted topics and executed the required closed meeting affidavit.
