After closed session, commissioners hire assistant recreation director and reappoint county representative to regional commission

The board voted unanimously to offer Rico Coney a full‑time assistant recreation director position at the Metter‑Candler Recreation Department at $20.15 per hour. The board also unanimously reappointed Marcus McCray as the county’s third member on the Heart of Georgia Regional Commission for a one‑year term.
Both actions were taken by roll call following the executive session; the board certified that the closed meeting was limited to permitted topics and executed the required closed meeting affidavit.
