Finance Director and Clerk of Council Jennifer Potvin told the Village of Northfield council on July 8 that the Village received its first allotment of CARES Act funds totaling $102,000.
Potvin said staff is waiting for additional information about the mechanics for handling those funds and the timing of a second allotment. She also reported that the Village audit for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 is proceeding in an orderly fashion.
Mayor Jesse Nehez briefed council earlier in the meeting on storm damage from the July 7 storm; Potvin’s comments framed the budgetary context for any recovery-related expenses and further allocations of federal relief funds.
