MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. — The Mendota Heights City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 4 to approve an option and lease agreement with The Tower, LLC for a proposed cellular facility at Wentworth Park.
Public Works Director Ryan Ruzek told the council the lease and option would take effect after the facility is built; rent payments will not begin until construction is complete. Councilors noted that the last cell tower in the city was installed in 2003 and said improved coverage in the northern part of Mendota Heights was a long‑sought outcome.
Councilor Mazzitello moved to adopt Resolution 2026-09; Councilor Paper seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
What’s next: Staff will finalize the lease agreement and advance permitting and construction steps with the selected provider.
