At its most recent meeting the Mill Creek Community School Corporation board handled routine business and several personnel and program items.
The board approved the consent agenda by voice vote (recorded as 'Carries 3–0'). Staff asked the board to approve seven nonresident student transfers to the district for the 2026–27 school year; staff said records sometimes arrive late in the summer and that the district could enroll the students once records are received. The board approved the seven transfers.
The board also approved a fee-based Lady Cadets girls' basketball camp scheduled for July 15–17 at $35 per player, for grades 1–8, and approved disposal of a nonfunctional milk cooler at the middle school.
In personnel notes, a board member thanked Amber Phillips for her years of service and retirement; board members also noted returning football assistants under a new head coach and thanked longtime cheer coach Ashley Moller for more than a decade of service.
During public comment, a Mill Creek Teachers Association representative said the group will provide lunch for new teachers at orientation on July 27.
