Clerk Teresa Hash Dobbins administered the oath of office and Dr. Brown took her seat with the other supervisors.
The board also voted to appoint Tom Berry as Emergency Management Coordinator and Fire Marshal. Chair Donati moved the appointment and Mr. McClung seconded; the appointment passed with all five supervisors voting AYE. Mrs. Dobbins swore in Mr. Berry, and Chair Donati noted the appointment covers both positions.
Board members offered brief welcoming remarks to the new supervisor and expressed anticipation of working together. The meeting record shows no objection and multiple members invited Dr. Brown to informal follow-up (the County Attorney noted an open-door policy and invited Dr. Brown to breakfast).
