Candler County reappoints key officers; board hires part-time EMT after executive session

Following an executive session to discuss personnel, the Candler County Board of Commissioners reappointed several local officers and authorized one EMS hire.
Chairman Brad Jones moved to reappoint Blake Hendrix as Vice-Chairman; the motion carried 4-0 with Vice-Chairman Hendrix abstaining. The board reappointed Bryan Aasheim as County Administrator (5-0), J. Kendall Gross as County Attorney (5-0), Kellie Lank as County Clerk (5-0), Xavier Winkler as EMS Director (5-0) and Jerry Lanier as Roads Superintendent (5-0).
Later in the meeting, after a second executive session on personnel matters, the board voted 5-0 to hire Tyler Bisseck as a part-time EMT for Candler County EMS.
Administrator Aasheim thanked the board for reappointing him and for their support, reflected on his seven years as county administrator and emphasized that commissioners serve with dedication and care. The board certified the closed-session affidavits afterward, as reflected in the meeting record.
