The Montgomery County Delegation moved and reported MC18-25 favorably. Sponsor Delegate Vogel described the bill as an allowance for an owner to hold a second class BWL license with limits: the second license holder must use the second license for on-premise sales at the specified second location, and private-label products for off-premise consumption would be manufactured exclusively for the holder.
The chair noted the county council supports the legislation while the county executive has not taken a position. After a motion and second, the committee voted by voice to send the bill forward with a favorable report.
What’s next: MC18-25 advances out of the delegation committee with a favorable report and will proceed to subsequent steps in the legislative process.
