Planning director reports Kwik Star opening and progress on Kading Properties

Planning & Zoning Director Nathan Parch updated the council on local development at the Jan. 5 meeting. Parch said a Kwik Star convenience store is scheduled to open Thursday at 5 a.m. He also reported that the second phase of Kading Properties is progressing rapidly: all private streets in phase one have been completed and crews are working on footings for structures in phase one.
Parch’s update was informational. He did not request council action at this meeting; next steps for the development projects will follow standard permitting and inspection procedures overseen by the planning department.
