The Court approved June and May claims and several resolutions by recorded roll call, including Resolution 2026‑103 (financial transfers), Resolution 2026‑098 (Emergency Management job description changes), Resolution 2026‑099 (Animal Care and Control job description changes), Resolution 2026‑100 (Public Works), Resolution 2026‑101 (Pay Grade Classification Plan), Resolution 2026‑102 (rescission of 2024‑081/082/083 for Animal Care and Control), and Resolution 2026‑104 authorizing application for the Rural Health Information Program (RHTP) Crisis to Care grant. The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved by Squire EG Thompson, seconded by Squire Patsy Whitehead, and passed on an 8–0 recorded vote with Squire Larry Hicks not present.
County Judge/Executive Keith Taul recognized Hardin County EMS members EMT Ray Doherty, Paramedic Kimberly Alcon‑Hawkins and Paramedic Logan Savage for assisting with the delivery of a baby on May 24, 2026; Taul reported the mother and child were healthy and thanked EMS providers for their service.
The Court also observed the tragic death of First Responder Ryan Druen, a 25‑year Elizabethtown Fire Department veteran who also served with the Sonora and Upton volunteer departments. County Attorney Jenny Oldham and County Clerk Brian D. Smith offered condolences to the family of the late Senator Dennis Parrett; multiple magistrates echoed those remarks and recalled Parrett’s service to Hardin County and the Commonwealth.
Officials announced upcoming committee meetings, a June 30 town hall and reminded attendees that county offices would be closed for Juneteenth on June 19. The Court adjourned without objection; the next Fiscal Court meeting is scheduled for June 23, 2026.
