The Open Space Advisory Committee reported Jan. 7 that the walking path work at EverGreen Park is complete and that the committee will pursue discussions with a new property owner about the County Connector Trail.
Lou Caruso said the new section of path extends past the playground behind the tennis courts and leads toward the County Connector Trail. He added that he and the Township Clerk/Administrator will set up a meeting with the new property owner to discuss trail access or routing across that property.
No members of the public were present to comment, and there was no executive session. The committee adjourned at 7:29 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
Why it matters: completed park infrastructure improves public access and trail connectivity; meeting with a property owner is a typical next step when trail routing crosses private land.
