After a brief executive-session discussion on contract negotiations, the Green Township Committee on Feb. 2 voted unanimously to grant ACCP Green Solar II, LLC an additional one-year extension to begin work under its ground lease for the former Trinca Airport property.
Resolution 2026-58 authorizes an extension through Jan. 31, 2027; the company will pay $2,813.77 as the contract requires (the amount reflects a 3% base-rent increase). Mayor Virginia Raffay and all committee members present voted in favor; James DeYoung was absent.
The extension follows prior amendments and an earlier one-year extension granted in 2025; the company cited delays in State issuance of solar program approvals as the reason for the further extension. The Committee indicated the matter was discussed in executive session for contractual reasons and then action was taken in open session.
Why it matters: The lease and any related solar project affect municipal property use at the former Trinca Airport site and may have fiscal and land-use implications. The extension maintains the lease relationship but postpones project commencement for another year.
What’s next: The Committee will revisit lease and project milestones if a further extension is requested or when the lessee announces a construction schedule.
