Sheriff outlines Saddle Horse weekend plans; MnDOT and Banner Associates reschedule Highway 75 update to July 6

At the June 15 meeting Sheriff Bob Bushman briefed the Lake Benton City Council on May calls-for-service, noting traffic activity was up but otherwise routine, and described law-enforcement staffing for the upcoming Saddle Horse weekend. He said deputies would be available for the boat race, fireworks and to help line up horses for the parade, and that the department will bring an electronic speed sign to Lake Benton for the weekend.
Separately, Administrator/Clerk Eileen Christensen reported that Jesse Vlaminck of the Minnesota Department of Transportation contacted her the morning of June 15 to say the documents he planned to present were incomplete and requested being added to the July 6 council meeting. Banner Associates’ Scot Leddy made a similar request; both parties were moved to the July 6 agenda.
The council received the law-enforcement update on a motion that carried; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the minutes.
