The Paulding County Board of Tax Assessors met June 10, 2026, at the Watson Government Complex. Chairman Johnny McBurrows called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. and recorded attendance that included Vice‑Chairman Ben Amerson (appearing via Zoom), Members Gary Spinks, Lydia Rollins and Gary Griswell, Chief Appraiser James Stokes Jr., and Board Secretary Deanna Morrison.
The board first voted to approve the minutes of its June 3 meeting. Chairman Johnny McBurrows moved to approve the minutes; Member Lydia Rollins seconded. The motion carried with votes recorded in favor by McBurrows, Amerson, Spinks, Rollins and Griswell.
Chief Appraiser James Stokes Jr. presented general correspondence and a daily log of calls, inquiries and assessments mailed for the week of June 2–5, 2026. The minutes include a tabulated breakdown by day and account type in the clerk’s record.
Under new business, Member Lydia Rollins moved that staff send a Notice to the Tax Commissioner to issue a breach‑of‑covenant penalty for account 91900 (listed in the minutes as Turley, Felton); Member Gary Griswell seconded. The board voted unanimously in favor (McBurrows, Amerson, Spinks, Rollins and Griswell).
The board then considered digest change requests (E&R/NOD) and approved staff recommendations for four entries: Hebo, LLC (account 5273, E&R/NOD 2026); Odom, Joel & Dana (account 39978, E&R/NOD 2025); Riggs, Kayla & Arriola, Carter (account 68293, E&R/NOD 2024–2025); and Watson, Jeff & Verlene (account 63202, E&R/NOD 2025). Member Gary Spinks moved approval; Member Gary Griswell seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Chairman McBurrows moved to adjourn; Member Lydia Rollins seconded, and the motion carried. The minutes close the meeting record for June 10, 2026.
