Selectmen revoke appointment for age ineligibility and approve multiple appointments and reappointments

The Sterling Board of Selectmen voted to revoke Krista Kettle’s appointment to the Agricultural Commission because she is not of voting age, a requirement the board said is necessary for service. Selectman Ronald Whitcomb moved the revocation, Patricia Massey seconded, and the motion carried 3-0.
The board appointed Lincoln Cooper as sexton of the Gallup and Ekonk cemeteries by a 3-0 vote (motion by Patricia Massey, seconded by Ronald Whitcomb). The board also re-appointed Lincoln Cooper to a one-year term on the Water Pollution Control Authority (expiring March 4, 2027); Myron “Jack” Joslyn to a two-year term on the Water Pollution Control Authority (expiring March 4, 2028); C. Peter Rabbitt to a two-year term on the Water Pollution Control Authority (expiring March 4, 2028); and Neil Delmonico to a three-year term on the Water Pollution Control Authority (expiring March 4, 2029). All WPCA reappointments passed 3-0.
On agricultural appointments the board re-appointed Rebecca Gervais to a two-year term (expiring March 12, 2028), re-appointed Myron “Jack” Joslyn to a two-year term (expiring March 12, 2028), and re-appointed Christine Farrugia as an alternate to the Agricultural Commission for two years; those motions carried 3-0.
Separately, Selectman Patricia Massey moved, seconded by Jack Joslyn, to approve the March 18, 2026 meeting minutes; Ronald Whitcomb abstained and the motion carried 2-0-1.
