Committee restores and approves Kenosha County multi‑jurisdictional comprehensive plan annual reports for 2024 and 2025

The Kenosha County Planning, Development and Extension Education Committee voted to remove two draft multi‑jurisdictional comprehensive plan annual reports from the table and to approve them.
Luke Atchalk, planning and development staff, read both Item 4 (the 2024 annual report) and Item 5 (the 2025 annual report) into the record and said the items had been tabled previously. Atchalk told the committee the annual reports summarize comprehensive‑plan changes made by municipalities across the county and are required to be approved by the county board under state planning statutes.
A member moved to remove Item 4 from the table; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The committee then voted to approve the 2024 draft annual report. The committee followed the same process for Item 5, moving to remove it from the table and approving the 2025 draft annual report by voice vote.
Committee members discussed that the 2024 report had not reached the committee in prior cycles and noted that approved reports would be posted on the county website for public access. No members of the public offered comment during the meeting.
The committee approved both reports and closed the items; staff indicated the reports will proceed through the required county review and posting procedures.
