Washington County Board approves hires, liquor license renewal and fireworks permits

The Washington County Board of Supervisors on June 30 approved a set of routine administrative actions including personnel changes, a liquor-license renewal and fireworks permits.
The Board approved a personnel change request from the Washington County Jail to hire Logan Frazer as a full-time jailer at $25.48 per hour, effective July 6, 2026 (motion by Marcus Fedler; second by Stan Stoops). The Board also approved a personnel change request from the Auditor’s Office to change Amber Williams from a part-time shared clerk to a full-time Administrative Clerk for the Auditor’s Office at the same hourly rate of $29.02, effective July 1, 2026 (motion by Stan Stoops; second by Marcus Fedler). The Board discussed hiring a replacement for the Board Administrative Clerk position and placed that item on the July 7, 2026 agenda.
On licensing and permits, the Board approved an application for liquor-license renewal for Richmond AmVets Post #107, effective July 11, 2026 through July 10, 2027 (motion by Bob Yoder; second by Marcus Fedler). The Board approved a Fireworks Permit and Secondary Road Use Permit for Richmond AmVets for a July 3, 2026 fireworks display at 402 AmVets Road in Richmond with a rain date of July 11, 2026 (motion by Bob Yoder; second by Marcus Fedler). The Board also approved a Fireworks Permit and Secondary Road Use Permit for Marion Avenue Baptist Church for a July 5, 2026 fireworks display with rain dates of July 8 and July 12, 2026 (motion by Stan Stoops; second by Richard Young).
The Board acknowledged Susan Beatty for 35 years of service with Public Health but took no formal action on that recognition. There was no public comment recorded. The meeting adjourned at 9:41 a.m. on a motion by Bob Yoder, seconded by Stan Stoops.
