Commission appoints COA director as voting member, plans web updates and schedules follow-up

At its March 12 meeting the East Longmeadow Commission for People with Disabilities recorded membership updates, directed web‑site improvements, and completed administrative business including approving minutes and adjourning.
The minutes list Emily Constantino (noted as COA Director) as to be appointed and become a voting member of the Commission. Audra Staples will participate in Commission work as the town ADA Coordinator. The Commission noted there are currently two open member slots.
On communications, commissioners said the Commission’s web page is sparse. Audra Staples offered to update the page if members provide recommendations; commissioners asked staff to compile a list of sensory-friendly events and posting suggestions for planning accessible events and to send recommendations to Chair Linda Smith so the Commission can increase visibility.
The Commission approved the minutes from its Jan. 8, 2026 meeting and later moved to adjourn. Jean Delaney made the motion to adjourn, and Kelly Phillips seconded; the meeting ended at 3:32 p.m.
No votes on ordinances, budgets, or formal policy changes were recorded.
