The Coffee County Election Commission met May 20, 2026, approved minutes from its May 11 meeting and signed the certification of results from the May 5, 2026 Primary Election.
Commissioner Carol Berthay moved to approve the May 11 minutes; Commissioner Larry McIntosh seconded the motion, which passed by unanimous approval. The commission’s attendance that day included Chairman William Bates, Secretary Barbara Arp, Commissioners Emily Thoma, Larry McIntosh and Carol Berthay, and Administrator Andy Farrar.
The commission signed the formal certification of the May 5 primary election results. Administrator Andy Farrar will forward the certified results to the State Republican and Democratic Parties, the State of Tennessee Election Commission office, and the Coffee County Clerk’s office “as required by law,” the minutes state.
The meeting record notes that no members of the public offered comment. The commission scheduled its next meeting for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned and the minutes were signed by Secretary Barbara Arp.
