The Averill Park Central School District Board unanimously approved a series of routine resolutions and contract actions at its July 6 meeting.
Key approvals included:
- Resolution 10a: an addendum extending the appointment of Dr. Franchini through June 30, 2031; the board authorized the president to execute the addendum on the district's behalf.
- Resolution 10b: approval of statements of terms and conditions for agreements with named employees (Caroline Chevrier and others) reflecting minor language changes from earlier agreements.
- Resolution 10c: participation with the regional information center and authorization for the district to authorize data-privacy negotiations with vendors and contractors in compliance with New York State Education Law.
- Resolution 10d: creation of an insurance reserve as set out in the agenda language.
- Resolution 10e: approval of an emergency water-pump replacement at the high school from a vendor (13 Elliott company) in the amount of $113,600.
- Additional approvals: participation in cooperative purchasing with Capital Region BOCES and a lease agreement through Questar BOCES for network printers; most items were described as routine and were approved unanimously.
Board members expressed gratitude to staff and contractors for their work on these items. Where motions and seconds were recorded the chair called for voice votes and declared each resolution approved by the board.
