Susquehanna Township to advertise July 9 public hearing on revised massage-establishment rules

The Susquehanna Township Board of Commissioners voted May 28 to advertise a public hearing for July 9 on a proposed repeal and replacement of the Township’s regulations for massage and similar establishments.
Township Manager Theresa Eberly and Zoning and Planning Administrator Mack Breech said staff revised the ordinance after conducting additional stakeholder outreach following a March 26 public hearing that drew substantial attendance. Eberly asked the board to schedule the hearing so the community can review the updated language.
Commissioner Fred Faylona moved to approve advertising the hearing and Commissioner Fred Engle seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The board did not take final action on the ordinance at the workshop; a formal hearing and potential vote are scheduled for the July regular meeting.
