The Waterford Township Police & Fire Pension Board approved a slate of invoices, distributions and capital calls at its April 14, 2026 meeting and heard brief updates from two outside investment managers.
Treasurer Steven Thomas listed invoices and capital items for approval, including Q1 invoices to Mariner Institutional ($27,800.08), Reinhart Partners ($13,724.00), and Clarkston Capital ($22,863.00). The board recorded distributions from Mavik ($119,296.15) and H.I.G. Bayside ($48,679.29) and capital calls from Mavik ($211,435.12), RCP Fund XVI ($100,000.00), Bloomfield Capital Series D ($71,565.31) and H.I.G. Bayside ($100,000.00). Chairman Matt Covey moved to approve the items; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Chris D'Agnes of Hamlin Capital and Trevor Savage of Reinhart Partners each provided brief performance updates; the minutes note the presentations but do not include detailed performance metrics. Legal counsel Tom Michaud of VMT Law encouraged trustees to pursue continuing education opportunities such as MAPERS to maintain fiduciary competence.
There were no retirements or trustee comments recorded. The meeting adjourned at 10:40 a.m.; the board set its next meeting for June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the Waterford Regional Fire Department.
