Hanover reserves .gov address and prepares launch of redesigned city website

HANOVER — The Hanover Economic Development Authority heard an update Jan. 16 on the city’s redesigned website and reservation of a .gov domain as staff prepare for a fuller launch.
City Administrator Jennifer Nash said Catalis installed the new base design and staff are working to resolve navigation and appearance issues before a broader rollout. Nash said the city has reserved a .gov platform address and plans to introduce the new web address, email accounts and site design together in the next few months when staff and IT consultants are ready to complete the launch.
The report did not include a firm launch date or budget figures; Nash indicated staff would finalize navigation fixes and coordinate with IT consultants before scheduling the public launch. The website update was discussed as part of the New Business agenda and no Council action on the site was taken at the meeting.
