Pineville honors longtime councilman Tom Boucher and two new police officers

Councilman Tom Boucher addressed the council, thanked the citizens of Pineville and his family, recounted colleagues who mentored him and reflected on his time in office: "It's been a pleasure and an honor. I'll never forget it. This will always be a great place to call home for my family." The chair and other council members offered congratulations and good wishes as Boucher prepares to move to Texas.
The council also recognized Pineville police officers Elliot Fruger and Toby Gorham for their recent graduation from the Alexander Regional Police Academy. Chief Roy Ford was asked to come forward for the recognition. Council members thanked the officers for joining the department and discussed staffing; Councilman Born asked whether staffing levels were on target and was told the department is "good" at this time.
