Brentwood aldermen approve multiple ordinances on signs, businesses, marijuana rules and data centers

Brentwood Blvd.; recorded as ordinance 52‑24 after a roll-call vote that the clerk recorded as affirmative across members present. - Bill 65‑99, approving a site development plan and conditional-use permit for Encore Nails and Foot Facials at 8044 Manchester Road; recorded as ordinance 52‑25. - Bill 6,600, granting a conditional-use permit for 2 Dog Fitness LLC (Gateway Fitness) at 820 Hanley Industrial Court; recorded as ordinance 52‑26. - Bill 66‑01, amending multiple code sections that regulate marijuana cultivation facilities and infused‑products manufacturing in specified commercial and industrial districts; recorded as ordinance 52‑27. - Bill 66‑02, amending code sections that regulate data centers within the Light Industrial District; recorded as ordinance 52‑28.
All five ordinances were approved after roll-call votes; the clerk announced the passage and ordinance numbers during the meeting.
The board also handled routine governance matters: Alderman Nancy Parker Tice was nominated and elected acting president of the Board of Aldermen for a one‑year term by voice vote, and the mayor announced committee appointments for the coming year, with one procedural clarification about the redevelopment corporation’s internal election of its officers.
