Revere Cultural Council plans August recognition event for grant recipients at Choco Lafe

The Revere Cultural Council voted to plan a recognition event for fiscal year 2026 grant recipients at Choco Lafe, located on Sandler Square (7 DeHaan Street), with proposed dates of Aug.24, 25 or 26 in the evening around 6 p.m., council members said at the July 9 meeting.
Jaime Jimenez, vice chair, said she will manage coordination with the venue; Debbie West will contact the mayor’s office to check official availability. Once the date is confirmed, the council will send RSVP invitations to grant recipients and offer certificates to either recipients or designated representatives.
Council members discussed light refreshments and logistics, and planned to finalize food and event details at the Aug.13 meeting. The council also said it would invite local media, distribute a press release and encourage Revere TV and the Revere Advocate to attend. Organizers asked recipients to RSVP via a short form that will be sent by email.
