At the start of the meeting the fire chief introduced Kelly Hoyt as a new administrative coordinator for the Saginaw Fire Department. The chief said Hoyt began work on June 15 and had “hit the ground running,” providing much-needed administrative relief across the department.
Kelly Hoyt introduced herself to the council and said she was excited to be a member of the Saginaw team and believes she is the first female member of the department in her role. She said she previously worked as an assistant to the superintendent at the Lake Worth school district and had experience as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Hoyt said she and her husband have four children and live in Azle and that she looked forward to working with the council and staff.
Council members welcomed her and thanked the chief for the introduction; no formal action was required.
