Oxford Township opens bids for two parcels; committee to review and decide Dec. 17
Summary

Township Attorney Rich Wenner opened sealed bids at the Dec. 3 meeting for two township parcels used for agricultural lease and other purposes.
Parcel 1 (Block 25, Lot 85), offered as a two-year lease, received two bids: Mitchell Jones ($1,480/year) and SueEd Farm (listed in the packet as "Aleix Ferrie") at $3,000/year. Parcel 2 (Block 25, Lot 86), offered as a five-year lease, received four bids: SueEd Farms (listed elsewhere as Alex Ferrie) at $4,000/year; Mitchel/Mitchell Jones at $2,220/year; M.N.M Holdings at $1,500 per acre with a 3% annual increase; and REC Processors NJ LLC, which is recorded in the bid documents with inconsistent notation (written as $121,500 and numeric as $125,000, plus a stated 3% increase and additional $25,000 per year after first crop).
Mr. Wenner concluded the bid opening and the committee indicated it and the township attorney will review bid materials and announce awards at the committee’s next meeting on Dec. 17, 2025. The Dec. 3 proceedings did not include award motions or contract approvals.
The packet and minutes show the committee received the bids and deferred decision; any apparent inconsistencies in the REC Processors submission (written vs. numeric amounts) will be reviewed during bid evaluation and award procedures under applicable municipal procurement rules.
