The Ogdensburg Borough Council adopted the borough's 2024 Emergency Operations Plan with annexes and approved a consent agenda that included a water-account credit and two NJDOT grant applications at its June 24 meeting.
Councilwoman Cowdrick moved to approve the consent agenda, and Councilman Ciasullo seconded. The consent agenda included approval of June 10 minutes, Resolution 50-2024 (a $190.08 credit to Gemma's Country Kitchen, account #2784), Resolution 51-2024 and Resolution 52-2024 to submit and execute grant contracts with the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the Richardsville Road and Glenbrook Road resurfacing projects, and acceptance for filing of NJDEP and county correspondence. The motion passed on roll call.
On Resolution 49-2024, Councilwoman Cowdrick moved adoption of the borough's 2024 Emergency Operations Plan; Councilman Ciasullo seconded. Mayor George P. Hutnick said the plan is an OEM document developed with an assigned state police contact and will be submitted to the county and state for review. "We sign off on this after tonight and then it gets submitted to the County then to the State," Mayor Hutnick said. Borough Clerk Robin Hough said each department reviewed and signed the changes in its annex.
The council recorded roll-call approval for the resolution. The adopted plan and the consent resolutions will be forwarded to county and state officials as required for further review and any subsequent feedback.
In other procedural business, the council approved payment of vouchers and departmental finance reports by roll call; the vouchers list showed a general-fund total of $442,093.43 and additional amounts in capital and water/sewer funds.
