The Wellfleet Zoning Board of Appeals used its July 9 meeting to manage procedural business and schedule follow-ups on multiple applications.
The board continued case 26-11 (Kevin Shaheen and Julie Michailis, 55 Bridal Court) to August 13, 2026 at the applicants’ request. The board also accepted a withdrawal without prejudice for case 2613 (Pauline Cole, 75 Pleasant Point Road) and noted the need to stamp the withdrawn file copy.
For case 2615 (Martin and Maxine Muscatello, 206 F Kendrick Ave) — a rebuild in a preexisting cottage colony with a requested floodplain exemption under Wellfleet Zoning Bylaw §§235-6.1/6.1E and 235-6.14 — the applicants’ representative said Conservation Commission findings are not yet available and asked for a continuance; the board granted the continuance to August 13.
The board unanimously approved the minutes of its June 11, 2026 meeting, and members reported they had been reappointed with terms now showing 2029 expiration dates, apparently by a blanket action; the chair noted the board still has a longstanding vacancy (Rifa's seat) to fill. The board voted to keep the existing leadership in place (chair, vice chair and clerk) for the near term.
At the end of the meeting the board moved to adjourn.
