The Temple City Council unanimously approved updates to the city's master fees and fines schedule (Resolution 26-5881) during the June 16 meeting. City Manager Brian Cook told the council that the schedule reflects cost‑of‑living adjustments and that planning fees would take effect 60 days after adoption.
Mayor Pro Tem Chen and other council members asked whether the timing required approval before July 1; staff confirmed the effective dates are coordinated with the fiscal year and the planning fees delay. After brief council comments and no public speakers, the council amended the motion on the floor to reference the resolution number and adopted the schedule.
The council also adopted the annual appropriations limit for FY 2026–27 by Resolution 26-5883 in a separate roll call vote. Staff described the appropriations limit calculation as routine. Director Kung said the city’s appropriation limit is well above current and projected revenues, and the council approved the measure unanimously.
