The Muncie City Board of Public Works and Safety approved claims totaling $712,240.44 at its July 8 meeting after City Controller Craig Wright presented the register.
"I sent out the claims yesterday afternoon," Craig Wright said. He described the register as "really not a whole lot this week," and noted it included testing and medical screenings for the fire department "that's per the contract," routine health-care claims, and utility payments such as AT&T Mobility Center, Pointe Energy and Comcast.
A board member moved to approve the register of claims for $712,240.44; the motion was seconded and the board voted in favor. No public objections were raised during the meeting.
Next steps: The claims were approved and will be processed according to the city's standard payment procedures.
