Hampton Township’s council certified a newly completed police officer eligibility list and approved conditional employment offers to three candidates after the Police Chief presented testing and ranking results.
"As counsel's aware, we completed testing and a ranking list for the hiring of new full time police officers," the Police Chief said, asking the council to "certify and approve this eligibility list for those rankings as shown." Councilors moved to approve the list and subsequently voted to offer conditional employment to Hayden Ayman, Jacob Bridal and Ryan Horgan, contingent on successful completion of all required preemployment testing.
The conditional offers require candidates to complete background checks and preemployment testing; staff said the offers will be finalized only after the candidates meet all hiring requirements. The council recorded the motions and carried them on roll call during the meeting.
Next steps: Human Resources/Police Department will confirm each candidate’s completion of testing and inform council when hires are finalized.
