The executive director reported that "staff has remained very busy since our last meeting," saying staff "attended 11 municipal meetings" over the past month to remind officials, employees and the public that the Commission on Ethics is available for guidance and advisory opinions. He listed local jurisdictions where staff presented, including Pahokee, Tequesta, Belle Glade, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Lake Park, Royal Palm Beach, Juno Beach, Hypoluxo, Palm Beach Shores, Wellington and Ocean Ridge. He also said staff spoke at Florida Atlantic Universityleadership and ethics summer camp for high school students and gave presentations to the Black Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Delray Beach.
The executive director announced a joint meet-and-greet with the Office of Inspector General scheduled for Friday, July 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Belle Glade Public Library and said similar past outreach events in Palm Beach Gardens and Boca were "very well attended and received." The chair gave commissioners an opportunity for additional comments; with none offered, he adjourned the meeting and invited a group photograph.
