Fire Chief Depies urged the board to adopt a new fee for department responses to controlled burns, saying the department has received more requests and “they do not always receive a donation for their services so they would like to start charging requestors. This fee is in line with what Silver Creek charges, and it will help reimburse cost of fuel.” Trustees adopted the fee by a 6-0 vote.
